Guitarist and Guitar World transcriber, Andy Aledort and his band the Groove Kings, have released an album of great blues/rock playing, that can easily sit along side any Hendrix and SRV collection. With over 60 minutes of music, Andy plays an array of covers and originals, which include blistering versions of Freddie King's "The Stumble" and Albert King's "Wrapped Up in Love Again." Other tracks include, the acoustic rock of "Buried Sommerville," the R&B sounding "Cry," the jazz of "For My Father," which is influenced by Pat Martino, and the all-rocking "Wish," which evokes the spirit of Hendrix and is the stand-out track of the CD. This is a must have album for any guitarist. Very awe-inspiring. Check it out! (Joe Matera also published an interview with Andy Aledort in this ezine issue. Read it at http://www.guitarsam.com/interviews/andy-aledort.htm )
