Joe Matera from Australia has tons of interesting musical facts, connections, history, and the when and where of the music industry.     A reader asks: What ever happened to the band Herman's Hermits? I can find CDs such as "The Best of Herman's Hermits," but I wondered whatever happened to the members of the band, and especially Herman. Joe answers: According to Herman's Hermits' official website,the band never broke up. They are still performing to this day. In 1971, vocalist Peter Noone left to pursue a solo career as a musical comedy actor. How did the band got its name? Someone had said that Peter Noone looked like Sherman, a character on TV's "The Bullwinkle Show," and the new name of Herman's Hermits was concocted.
