Here's some information on two historically significant guitar devices. The E-Bow, which is a handheld device that produces continuous, violin-like sustain from a standard electric guitar, was first introduced at the 1976 NAMM show. Released in 1967, Roger Mayer's Octavia pedal is roundly accepted as the first commercially produced octave divider.
